Greg Taking a Nap

Candid Photo. This is a candid photo. Greg doesn't realize he is taking a picture of himself with his left hand holding the iPhone... Okay, maybe he does. :-)

Live Feed Updated. It took about three hours to diagnose and work around the live feed limitations today. In the future, general posts can be made remotely using the iPhone. However, these will be limited to about 40 per day. When this number is exceeded, the system stops accepting updates by email.

Updating the Live Feed

Captcha Limitation Removed. It appears that after processing a large number of blog entries on the web, eventually the Captcha requirement is lifted and future posts by web (or by e-mail like this one), are possible without a Captcha authentication.

More Updating. More Updates to Today's Live Feed. There are many more photos yet to be entered manually (since sending them might cause the Captcha limitation to turn on again).

Captcha Limitation Restored. After posting about 50 items, at 10:59 PM, the Captcha limitation was placed on the account again. It will probably take entering some more postings on the website to have it turned off again. Until this is taken care of, or 24 hours has passed, remote live feed updating won't work from the iPhone.

At my desk

Eating, checking email, and trying to figure out what was wrong with the Live Feed.

Clif Bar, Chocolate Chip Peanut Crunch

I thought I would have a snack while waiting for my sandwich to be made.

Which Wich

I had a late veggie sandwich from Which Wich. The evening light is on the sandwich order center.

At my desk

Arriving downtown, I was checking on email and the Live Feed issue.

Windows Updates on Shutting Down

The older computer still had some updates to be installed.

PCmover has 1 minute and 48 seconds remaining

The PCmover process has almost completed.

Willow Creek Trail, riding south

Here's another view along Willow Creek Trail. This is the path that approaches Kiwanis Park.

Willow Creek Trail, riding south

I made fairly good time and covered a lot of ground in this return ride. I didn't take as many pictures since I'd taken so many on my way north, and since the live feed wasn't working properly.

It's been a long day so far, and with the ride ahead of me, I need some more sustenance to keep going.

Toshiba, model 42HP95, television / display

On the back of the Toshiba, model 42HP95, television / display there are many connection possibilities. Here is a close-up view of the middle area. The jacks are above with diagrams below describing what they are.

This is a close-up view of the connections for the Toshiba, model 42HP95, television / display. As can be seen here, there are inputs for computer video and audio (PC IN) as well as two video sources such as cable television, dish television, or an antenna. There is also an HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Input) jack for high quality video.

Motorola, DCT6200/1000, (HD) high definition cable TV tuner

This photo shows the back of the Motorola, DCT6200/1000, (HD) high definition cable TV tuner. From left to right we see the right channel audio cable (red), the left channel audio cable (white), and the three component video cables (green, blue, red). The next cable is not needed. It is a digital audio cable that would go to a home audio system if there were one. In this case, the RCA audio cables (red and white cables shown in the picture) go to the audio input of the Toshiba display which has good sound quality.

Toshiba, model 42HP95, television / display

This is a view of the power cord (on the right) and a digital audio out cable plugged in (on the left). In this particular configuration, the digital audio out cable is not required. It would typically be used in a situation where a home audio system had an input for digital audio. In this configuration, the internal audio system in the Toshiba display is being used and the sound is quite good.

This image serves as a reminder of what the proper connections are for the Toshiba model 42HP95 television / display. Most people who have a high definition cable television tuner can use the three color component output cables from their cable television tuner and plug those into the input on the back of the Toshiba display. The "IN" area is clearly marked. The audio inputs are also in this area and they are color coded as well.

It seemed odd to see this campus Cambus stop sign posted so far away from civilization. This sign is on First Avenue in Coralville, north of Interstate 80.
