This is a view of the power cord (on the right) and a digital audio out cable plugged in (on the left). In this particular configuration, the digital audio out cable is not required. It would typically be used in a situation where a home audio system had an input for digital audio. In this configuration, the internal audio system in the Toshiba display is being used and the sound is quite good.
